A true operatic bass, Canadian Campbell Vertesi recently made his Paris debut as Méphistophélès in Gounod's Faust. Though young, he has already debuted many traditional bass roles, including Sarastro in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Dottor Bartolo in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, il Commendatore in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Colline in Puccini's La Bohème, Ramfis in Verdi's Aïda, and Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto. He has sung with festival and regional opera companies across America, including Cincinnati Opera, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Opera, San Francisco Lyric Opera, and Central City Opera.
In Paris, he has been a featured guest soloist with the Paris Choral Society, and in the Atélier Lyrique music series at the American Church in Paris.
